    Aayudha Ezhuthu – Update: Mani

    Aayudha Ezhuthu – Update:

Mani Ratnam is in news again. His latest film Aayudha Ezhuthu or Ayudha Ezhuthu in tamil and Yuva in hindi are getting ready fast. After 10 days of shooting in kovalam, the crew has just moved to mumbai port to shoot scenes involving Madhavan and Esha Deol.

It looks like Vairamuthu would pen the lyrics for AR Rahman again after the BOYS break. You can expect another Alai Payuthey in terms of music. Also first time Mani is experimenting the Sync Sound technology so it reduces the dubbing time. Esha Deol has already proven in her television interview that she is well versed in tamil with the help of her mother Hema Malini.

It is expected that the entire tamil version to be shot in 35-40 days which is one of the quickest films in these days when films are being shot for months and years.

    Last night, a graceful colleague

Last night, a graceful colleague helped me with the recorded version of Saami 125th day function. Rajinikanth’s talk was the highlight of the show. The way he spoke was refreshing. From all that cauvery controversies, it was nice to see a comeback from a re-charged superstar. His body language showed he was ready for the next Padayappa. He was full on entusiasm and energy. Probably Sami has influenced him so much and he was all praise for the director Hari. As they say he might act in Aiyya directed by Hari. Without doubts, it would be a blaster.

Surya also seems to have gone through a reformation with his stubs and was thanking rajini as the superstar named him the best IPS on screen ever. The trailor of Vijay’s Thirumalai was better than before. The camera done by ?? was a good work. However, one needs to wait and see if it fares well given the current scenario of vijay movies not making it big time. Well, someone give him an IPS role. With Ajith in Anjaneya as IPS Paramguru(the name of the character), everyone finishes the round. He is the one in the contemporary lot left out without acting as an IPS. Probably thats why he was upset during Saami celebration.

    Remembering Sivaji on his birthday:

This gloomy eyed guy became the biggest star of tamil cinema and the first guy who was called as A Man with thousand faces. Featured by a swaggering gait, protuding big expressive eyes, enviable gift of acting was Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan. His ability to get into the skin of the character was envied by his contemporaries. Over his ruling of tamil cinema for more than 50 years, he has acted in all sorts of roles and but unfortunately did not bag all kinds of awards.

Doesn’t matter he still stays in the hearts of good cinema lovers. Here is a piece of note left by my friend senthil in the comments when he reminded me of shivaji’s birthday. Read this. Goosebumps ahead. Take care.

im surprised to see the love and affection they have for chevalier sivaji ganesan here in Malaysia.Though they don’t have the poster culture, there were continuous programmes in tamil radio channel and articles in tamil dailies .For eg, the aired his famous dialogue clippings from parasakthi to padiayappa, song snippets from all his famous films, interviews given by actors like superstar , kamal all this since morning ( now the time is just 12.00 noon).I remembered the day when he died , where radio 6 – a tamil radio channel conducted interviews where people were cryin and choking without words.Almost around 200 people( im not exaggerating) saw his death procession in TV standing in front of a cofee shop.I was surprised to see even young guys watching with tears in their eyes.Sivaji lived like a king and died like a king. Actors should not even try to match this great man…He will live in the hearts of all the tamils througout the world.

    Neo is coming back on

Neo is coming back on Nov 5th. It’s a great news for me especially because I would be here in Chicago to watch it on an IMAX theatre.

When Matrix Reloadedleft me decieved with it’s very egoistic film making style, I hoped it would miserable fail in the box-office so that the Wachowski brothers will get wacked and make Matrix Revolutions a master blaster. I am sure it would be one hell of a movie.

The promos are already on TV here nad it’s getting bigger and better this time. The teasers are very fast and short. There is some kind of a big robot or some machine that comes walking towards in the teasers. I am not sure what that one is but it definetly makes me more curious than ever.

Because this is going to be the last one of the trilogy, lots of expectations in air this time. I hope Neo, Trinity and Morpheus keep up the good job. Check out this snap of the trio.
