I wasn’t even motivated to comment here due to reCaptcha service requesting to enter two wierd words to ensure it wasn’t a bot trying to sumit a comment. Instead, I’ve enabled the Akismet Anti-Spam Plugin to check if its a better solution.

I did read on Akismet‘s site that nearly 90% of comments are spam. And that’s quite a number considering the growing awareness about spam and it’s control.

Now keeping fingers crossed.

One day later – Its working !! Akismet has identified atleast 50 spam comments since yesterday but one of thos 50 was a legitimate one. Akismet (MT-Plugin) works, as of now. The usual number of spam comments on this blog runs into couple of hundreds for a day. I am still waiting for more evidence of spam catching.
