That was Simbhu shouting.

Vikatan reports that Simbhu and Nayanthaara are head-over-heels in love. And Simbhu’s naturally vivacious personality is making him more possesive towards Nayanthaara, resulting in missed film chances and financial hiccups for the Vallavan team. The report also speculates that Simbhu blocked Nayan’s car near Vadapalani Ram theatre and asked forced her to get into it. Thoda !!

Here’s the background. The Overaa Illa kiss generated intial publicity for the Vallavan movie. A year after that, looks like the producers want to get going with the film. The report says the movie is already sold for 8 crores and now the distributors have to get it back. Given a year of delay in releasing the movie, the post-production build-up is quintessential to generate hype. It seems to me that this Simbhu – Nayan love matter is a well staged hype, a marketing effort in boosting Vallavan’s release.

Leave alone all that, here is the punch. Vikatan also reports that Simbu took the entire footage of Vallavan to edit it in his house. We don’t know its true but this is just enough to reduce all the hype surronding the film.

  1. 9…9…9…Simbhu, uruppadave maataan…she looked ravishing in “kallvanin kaadhali” and very attractive in the trailer of “vallavan.” cha, innum ethanai kaalai thaan vayir erivaar indha naatile…indha naatile…!
    i’ve been going gaga over the trailer of “vallavan” which i think is brilliantly edited and slickly presented, not to mention a rousing score by Yuvan to add juice to it.
    btw, lazy, didnt ‘get’ your comment on vallavan being edited by him? why should that reduce the hype? sorry, marra mandaikku yetta maatengudhu…clarify please!

    That’s exactly what I thought..
    This is nothing but a desperate marketing effort..
    Why Vikatan has a role in this, I can’t fathom!
    They should have left this with tabloids run by “Dinamalar” et al.

  9. i’ve read ALOT of articles of simbu and nayan spotted together, being missing from shooting times, going to the mid east together. i mean who says they are lovers; cant a girl and guy be frens? thats what i see, but at the same time, no problem in being lovers except that simbu has a reputation for being a ‘manmadhan’ in real life.. even tried romancing jo who didnt fall for it. [my life is filled with useless info of cinema!]

  10. Frankly, I see no star appeal or for that matter a charisma that a star is usually associated with, in the skeletal frame of the self-professed “little superstar”, an audacious label in itself. Except that of a familiar face of a father – who in himself is a parody of all things decent in real life – Simbu is an execeptionally lucky chap who beter enjoy the limelight while he still has it. His antics has an actor is exactly that… an antic. Ah well, it is just my usual Monday edginess.
