    Crazy Again: I do aspire

    Crazy Again:

I do aspire to become kushwant singh or shobha de . But this isn’t acceptable. I was reading the whole lot of my blog today and i just got bugged up. I seem to have transcended into the world of a columnist because offlate I am writing some kind of an analytical blog on silly things.I finally found a reason for that. Just realised I have been doing a bit of advertising of my blog these days in all the yahoo groups that i belong to. So probably I am also going thru a bit of famous-o-mania these days and therefore I have been writing impressive articles for others. They aren’t that impressive for me when i read it now. On second thoughts, may be I am right. Is it wrong in getting caught in the famous-o-mania if u get the purpose right. So guys, for you kind info, my instinct tells me i wouldn’t change even after all these inner shouts to myself. Some of you who read this blognote first might not u’stand the note. Go ahead and read more, probably you will (hey lazy, thats advertising again).

But I am lucky this weekend. Just got my hand over an interesting book called Enduring Love by Ian McEwan. Amazing start!! just like a nail bitting finish. Oops!! this guy is really great.

It is 9:15 now and I wanna go back home now to see sachin back in action after a duck in the previous innings. I have no clue of what the score is but i can have a blind bet that he is gonna smash the windies this time. Hope he does. Yeh Dil Maange More!!

    She’s Back ( From Tihar)

    She’s Back ( From Tihar)

Hey, Arundhati is back . If you are blinking now, you probably have not read her God Of Small Things or you didn’t frequent the news some 3 months back. She is Arundhati Roy. The booker prize winner for her debut novel. You would certainly appreciate her if you read that book for its vivid descriptions and the style of her writing.

Then, she was an avid supporter of NBA ( Narmada Bajao Aandolan not National Basketball Association ) and a die-hard fan for the purpose of saving thousands of people getting washed out if that narmada dam was built. An essay on anti-dam on narmada called The Greater Common Good was fabulous.

After allowing herself to stay in the thiar prison for one day, in the contempt of court case, she is now back on questioning the happenings in Gujarat. The article called Democracy :Who’s she when she’s at home? in Outlook magazine. Read it !! Feel It !! You’ll agree with me that she is true.

    Kamal – The Versatile Genius

Kamal – The Versatile Genius in doldrums:

Offlate Kamal, the versatile actor has been caught amidst a storm of gossips on his personal life. The media has gone to rock bottom level to write about his personal life based on assumptions and hearsay. This is not a healthy atmosphere. These scoops and gossips have been there since media originated but there were yellow magazines which used to write on these issues. Now, the scene is even bad. Kumudham, which was rated to be 2nd best magazine in Tamil was the first one to write a cover story on this KamalHassan’s personal issue.

I think we need to leave the personal issues apart and able to distinguish a person by his proffession. Instead, people are bothered more about personal issues. The most asked question in any Q&A section of any magazine is “Is Kamal going to divorce Sarika and is he going to marry Simran?”. After a long pause, Kamalhassan had finally met the press a day before and answered them partly saying the divorce with Sarika is true. Now that isn’t a end for this media and they are going to write long exaggerated behind-the-scenes stories based on this.

Please leave kamal and his family alone. Let us criticize only his acting . Else we will probably miss one of the great artisits of this country.

    Who let these DOGS out

Who let these DOGS out :
I travel from my house located at the heart of chennai to a suburb called Tambaram for my office everyday which is some 20 Kms away. These days IT Companies are moving out of the Cities to establish their kingdoms where there is abundant suplly of water and other neccesities.

But the point isn’t that. The road through which I travel is called GST road which is a national highway.Since I travel in my bike , I have a chance to look at the world clearly, unlike those who travel in caged cars. Everyday with no exception, I see atleast 2 dogs die in the middle of the road, hit and run over by a lorry or by a car travlling at 90 Kms/hr. And sometimes till the next day, the dead body of the dog still lies there being run over by several hundreds of vehicles that pass by. Once or twice I had called up the Blue Cross to report this. I am unaware of the action which they had taken after that.

Today when I was on my way, a dog escaped death from a lorry by a few nano seconds. Whats the point?. There are still enough vehices in chennai to kill that poor dog. huh!!.

    Top 10 Natural Highs :

    Top 10 Natural Highs :

I recieved a mail today from a friend of mine which had list of 50 odd common natural highs. I filtered the top 5 which suited me and added some more of my own interest.
    Here they are:

    My Top 10 Natural Highs…

Reading a great book in the night when you suddenly realise it is already morning.
Singing your favourite song aloud while riding the bike
Lying in bed listening to the rain outside while eating hot groundnuts.
Midnight phone calls that last for hours.
Having someone play with your hair.
Watching a good movie cuddled up on a couch with someone you love.
Playing a competitive game of chess
Laughing so hard your face hurts.
Being appreciated when you thought no one cared.
Lying down in terrace looking at the stars and dreaming with eyes wide open.
