Yesterday, when I was watching one of those dedicate-a-song program in one of the umpteen satellite channels, someone called up and dedicated a song to the god. THE GOD. The caller left the choice to the channel. Thanks to the taste of our folks at the channel stations. They played Kokkarakko Gummaango, a kolla kuthu ghaana song from the movie Machi. Just curious to know if the LORD liked it.

Kumaraguru,
You are having the name of God Murugan. Hope you know Murugan has the brids Rooster and Peacock with Him. Rooster is the bird which says Kokkarakoo – But the meaning in tamil is like God Murugan had killed Asuran, which can be obtained by separating the words Kok + Arakoo.
So what I conculde is, the song is decicated to Lord Murgan, Kumaraguru (You) and obviously Me.

BTW.. is Comedy Time the dedicate a song program that you saw? Then that explains the Kokkaroko Gummango thing!
During every single over breaks in the telecast of the India Pak series, we used to change to SunTV. I happened to catch this guy on Comedy Time who used to go “Kokkarakko Gummaango” with his sidekick who happened to share the same name as our KG (I am talking about THE Kokkarakko Gummaango and not Kumaraguru 😉 ). So is there a connection here or am I just stating the obvious. And KG (again refering to Kokkarakko Gummaango and not Kumaraguru) what in the world is Kokkarako Gummango? :O
LG: On a different note, Any reccos as far as recent tam movies? Havent watched any since Autograph/AE/Virumandi! And I might get to Columbus this weekend and so might have a chance to pick up some tapes. I will ofcourse look for Azhagiya Theeye, but am not sure if such offbeat movies are available.

KG is Kumara Guru and not Kokkarakko Gummango.
Kokk Gumm is a slang that the comedy time and his sidekick Archana use in the program. One my friend Karthi was posing that slang as his name for a few days. But I did manage to find him from his IP.
If you have seen till AE, except Azhagiya Theeye and Vasool Raja there aren’t much. You might want to see New and find out whats all the controversy about SJ Surya. Partiban’s movie is out tomorrow but i doubt if you will get it so soon in Columbus.
