Ithe velai thaan ivaruku…enamo andru mgr panne velaiye indru rajini jolly aa carry forward panitaar. Intha maadri adhirstham ellarkum iruntha – my goodness. Another malayam copy (original was done by mamooty) and moulded to suit rajini’s image. Hope robo is different and sets things apart. Already heard Sultan might be a copy of Price of persia:) computer game.

I did not liked this get-up. Directors should avoid such traditional dress like dhothi,kurtha,pattai etc., Just see how Shankar portrayed Rajni in Sivaji, a kind of fantasy in all sceens and make-ups. Somehow they should try to come up with better style.
Vasu sir, do please remember, u r doing rajni film after Sivaji not after Ejamaan.
I beleive Vasu is a wrong choice for this movie and he is going to dilute the essence of the original story.LikeLike

Rajini can do wonders in Sivaji get-up as well as in a Dhoti get-up. RAJINI IS THE DIRECTOR’S ACTOR & ANY ROLE/COSTUME SUITS HIM NATURALLY. He will not wear mask & BOOCHANDIFY the public like some “so-called actors” are doing.
As per reports Rajini’s screen presence in Kuselan is only around 40%. Even with such a limited opportunity, Kuselan will beat Dosavataram hands down.

Inspite of Sivaji’s story being as it is, Rajini took the movie to its Peak in terms of His own performance as also its BO performance. Shankar, on his part, decided to take an out-and-out Rajini movie & did everything else accordingly. Rajini, BEING A DIRECTOR’S ACTOR, delivered what is expected of him, and the rest is HISTORY.

Thala unmaya sollanum naa i saw it 2nd time on ur insistence..kinda liked it..but felt the movie cud be cropped a lil..n then some weird thought struck me mid way through the movie..i felt this movie oru graphic novel..like u know comic book ishtyle la present paniruntha it wud have been classic, a true masterpiece indeed..but thala did ya notice a godrej pootu in the 12th century bit tht was hilarious..n the cgi cud have been wrked a lil more i don know y..konjam eerie a irunthithu..esp wen a lotta kamals are in the same scene..music still sucks…n i still felt a few kamals were highly pushed in..but overall aes twas lil better than the first time i saw it..hrd the cgi guy wanted 3 mnths more for the movie..therila if tht was done probably padam nalla vanthirkum![:D]ur comments awaited!

first of all the name itself is a play on the words singam [means lion in tamil] and narasimha [the avatar being symbolised]. Lord Narasimha manifests himelf to kill the bad guy and he also teaches prahaladha. In the movie, he shows up to kill the killer fletcher! and is also a teacher.. Lord Narasimha had to kill the asura with bare hands and hence the martial arts exponent here.. get it?8. Rama avatar – Avatar Singh

This is the most loose adaptation I couldn’t clearly comprehend. But if you look at the real koorma avatar, the lord is the turtle/tortoise that helps in stirring the ksheera sagara and bringing out the amruth. This essentially creates war among the devas and asuras. Similarly today Bush facilitates war between you know whom… May be Kamal also indicates that this avatar is a bit dumb like the tortoise…thala read this somewhere thought u shud know abt it!i liked it!though the movie is still an average watch for me![:D]

This is the second best tongue-in-cheek blog post in recent times after Aamir’s post about Shahrurk licking his feet. Heck! You must certainly be licking your whiskers expecting a flame war, HERE, NOW!!1 > 10. Kamal can occasionally pull Rajni’s boxoffice numbers like Sakala Kala vallavan, Appu Raja (AS in Tamil), Thevar Magan and Dasa (the numbers are certainly good) but Rajni can never match the class of Kamal even rarely. I know someone will now talk about 6-60 vari – YAWN.
Rajni is a farce who thrives by promoting obsessive hero worship a la MGR but MGR had the guts to venture into politics unlike coward Rajni who still masquerades public with tacky dialogues just to keep the fire burning. Even as human being, Rajni is nowhere near Kamal who may not be the best activist nevertheless he is at least more of an activist than Rajni.
I am not sure about Kuselan but Robo will certainly be a hit and few Rajni fans will talk about How their Thalaivar crossed Tom Hank’s Salary for Angels And Demons 😉

What “class” of Kamal are you talking about? There are any number of actors who can surpass Kamal including Rajini, who had proved it in Ilamai Oonjaladugirathu. Kamal’s box office successes are rare & come by accident whereas Rajini’s movies are considered as Guaranteed Success. Rajini is an actor who never acts behind the camera. Kamal is one who acts even in his personal life – the number of live-in releationships he has been having – itself is a proof to that.
First try to understand, today Kamal has to compete with the likes of Ajits & Vijays to even stay in the race – otherwise people will forget him or he has to come out with 10 or 15 role gimmics, provided there are some takers for it.
The reality is today Rajini is his own competitor & Kamal can never ever think of comepting with him again.

Can Rajni deliver a hit w/o using any tacky dialogues about his Political Ambitions?
Veera was the last clean entertainer he gave and then he got into I-am-the-next-CM mode. Chandramuki was an exception and that happened because of Baba’s disaster.
Rajni will continue to be a farce and few fans like you can complain about Kamal’s live-in relationships forgetting that Rajni was attacked by a very powerful person for double crossing and had get the tag ‘Mental’ during early 80s — Public memory is Short.
Has Rajni opened any libraries? Has Rajni donated his Body for Medical research?
Has Rajni used his star power for good causes in TN?
“Yennai vazha vaitha Rasiga Perumakkaley” is enough for him to touch his Fans hearts.

Neenga comedy geemedy edhuvum pannliye? Dasa’s collections have dramatically dropped after the first week-end, which was also hyped up artificially by Ex-Oscar. This has been reported in TV channels & has come in websites too. So, don’t be under an illusion that Dasa can beat Sivaji. Even in the first week-end, as against Sivaji’s collection of 2.45 Cr. in Chennai, Dasa could not even muster 1 Cr. (Its collection stood at a mere 95 L).
Dasa so far yet to have a 100% occupancy in any territoty. It continues to E Ottufy in all shows during week-days even from the very first week. If that be the case in the first week, it can only become worse with so much negative word-of-mouth publicity it is getting.
So, Dasa oru flop padam chellam. Pothikittu irukkanum.

Whereas Gross collection after week 5 is $ 3,010,357
How can the Gross for week 5 can go lower then the Gross for week 4?Further comedy is over all collections for Shivaji for 2007 is reported as 5.8 million, which was almost the figure reported for week 4 itself.
This clearly shows the numbers there are not accurate, so, just ignore it.
After your mabbu is cleared, go and see the sify.com’s Chennai BO for week-ending 22nd June. Also, Behindwoods has reported Dosa collection is coming down in overseas & it can never ever overtake Sivaji.
At best Dosa can try to match the Cycle Stand collection of Baba screening theatres.
Come to reality – don’t live in your own delusive world like your Nandhu.

Go see The Hindu dt. 13.6.08 (when Dosa released) Cinema Plus supplement, which quotes Ex-Oscar himself for having paid Kamal Rs. 7 Crores for Dasa as fees. You know where Rajini stands in this? Rajini got Rs. 17 Crores as fees for Sivaji.
If you think Kamal is behind Rajini, think again. It is Ajit, as per the report, who gets Rs. 10 crores for Billa 2 to be jointly produced by Warner Bros-Oscher Studios combo.
Kanna, first let your Kamal compete with Vijays & Ajits of the world & try to beat them. Then only he gets the eligibility even to compete with Thalaivar.
If you guys think he is a good actor, then let him try to give a blockbuster hit based on acting & acting alone & NOT by gimmics like Mavu Poochu a.k.a make-up, 10 roles, etc etc.
BTB, is it Kamal himself coming as the girl traslator-cum-callgirl assitant to CIA agent Kamal in Dosa? Thats the only role which suits him to a T.

Vayatherichal pudicha Arunachalam avargale. Dasavatharam is still going strong in all centres. There is no doubt about it. It has neared Sivaji’s collections and is sure to cross it within the first 25 days. In fact the movie is next to Incredible Hulk in Malaysia. So just cut the crap and move on.

dont ever compare Superstar with kamal. If u guys not seen johny,mullum malarum,its all ur fate. kamal started acting after nayagan only. But thalaivar always rocks. to see dasavatharam in theatre its really scarry(not only kamal”s terrific makeup) but u have to see it with very few persons.
